Kyle Denton is an herbalist. His expertise revolves around all that grows from the ground: plants, flowers, fruits and more. He owns Tippecanoe Herbs & Apothecary, a Walker’s Point boutique-style store selling herbal medicines, trinkets, household items and more. Throughout the summer, Denton leads Milwaukeeans on herb walks, where he teaches them about herbs and plants to forage around the city.

This is Episode #23 and I have the pleasure of introducing you to someone I have only known for the last year, or so, but has made a HUGE impact on the lives in my community and family! Kyle Denton is an herbalist here in the Milwaukee area, and he and his wife, Serena are owners of “Tippecanoe Herbs”. Kyle is so well versed on herbs and the way herbal medicine can be utilized to enhance our health, so I am beyond excited to sit back and let him share some knowledge with us! My immune system and overall health have benefited greatly from his herbal mixtures, tinctures and concoctions, but I have also enjoyed the education he shares through fun jingles and entertaining stories! This is episode number 32 and today we are diving into the world of Mustards! This episode was inspired after hearing many complain about and spray herbicides on garlic mustard. Many of us have been told that garlic mustard is an “invasive species”, and yet, I have learned that all plants have strengths and weaknesses! Today is about recognizing the amazing benefits of the mustard family, including and especially, garlic mustard!
Today’s plant feature will be totally new! Today, my friend Kyle Denton who is the herbalist and owner of Tippecanoe Herbs in Milwaukee Wisconsin, will be my in-house expert on all things Wild Mustard! If you want to know a little bit about Kyle and his background, he was on episode number 23.
And while I will play the part of interviewer today, the next 2 plant features will be a Tippecanoe takeover, as in Kyle will be choosing 2 plants to feature, sometime mid summer and sometime later summer/early fall, and he will be sharing all the things with us, on this podcast!
